Rely On Local Business is proud to be an approved local sponsor taking part in the Shop Small® initiative founded by American Express

We believe our combined efforts can help make a big impact in our community. Be sure to look for our Holiday Local Shopping Guide in various stores this fall.

Campaign and Promotional Sponsorships

Throughout the year, we plan and organize local events that promote the support of local businesses.

Cash Mobs are a growing trend across the country. As part of our Shift $20 Campaign, Rely On Local Business encourages local residents to Shift $20 of their spending each month to support local businesses.

What is a Cash Mob? It is a public display of community support for local businesses. A Cash Mob is an event planned for local residents to come out in mass and show their support by spending at least $20 to support qualified businesses.

We’ve partnered with Cash Mob Charlotte to orchestrate Cash Mob events through social media by announcing a date, time and designated meet up location. It’s a great time for the community to come together to support local businesses and have fun at the same time with prizes, giveaways and special coupon offers provided by local area businesses.

Rely On Local Business has partnered with Queen’s Grant High School to bring you the second annual Soles to Remember 5K in May 2014, to raise money for benefit the National Law Enforcement Officer’s Memorial Fund.

    More details to come.

Plaid Friday celebrates the diversity and creativity of local businesses everywhere. Plaid Friday is the fun and enjoyable alternative to the big box store “Black Friday”, and is designed to promote both local and independently owned businesses during the holidays.

Look for more details to come.

During the holiday season, we celebrate a tradition that strengthens local economies, expands employment, nurtures a sense of community, and provides a more relaxed, fun, and rewarding shopping experience. As customers, we collectively spend a large portion of our annual shopping budget between Nov. 1 and Dec. 31.

Thank you for joining us in shifting those dollars to local businesses.
